Our purpose
Our mission
Your support helps transform great care into exceptional care
Our mission is to inspire generosity that empowers Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust to deliver truly outstanding, patient-focussed care for everyone who walks through our doors.
We achieve this by:
Creating, calming, uplifting spaces that nurture healing and dignity
Funding innovative equipment and services that change lives
Championing the wellbeing of our outstanding staff who give their all, every single day.
As proud members of NHS Charities Together, we stand alongside NHS Charities across the country – united in strengthening, celebrating and supporting the care our NHS provides.

Our values reflect those of the wider Trust and guide every decision we make.

We always put patients and their needs at the centre of what we do.

We value and respect patients, families, visitors and staff.

We aim for high standards of quality, efficiency and impact.
Innovation
We look for every opportunity to improve care and services.
Excellence
We continually strive to enhance care and strengthen our reputation.
Our promise to you
We understand that choosing to support a charity is personal. That’s why we promise to:
Always put you first
Respect your privacy and confidentiality
Never place pressure on you to give
Use donations carefully, responsibly and cost-effectively
Use your gifts wisely and for their intended purpose
Honour any wishes you have about how your donation is used
Be open, honest and transparent in all our fundraising activities
How we’re governed
Accountable, transparent and responsible
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust acts as the charity’s corporate Trustee, providing strong and reliable oversight through its Charitable Funds Committee.
The committee brings together senior Trust leaders, including:
The Chief Finance Officer
The Executive Director of Strategy, Planning and Partnerships
Non-Executive Directors
The Trust Secretary
Meeting three times a year, the committee reviews our activity, governance and impact to ensure we use every donation wisely and effectively.
Supporting this work is an operational sub-committee, which manages the charity’s day-to-day activity and reports directly into the Charitable Fund Committee – helping to maintain high standards and clear accountability at every level.
