We promise that every donation that is made to Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust Charity will be used to provide additional resources above and beyond what the NHS can currently provide.

This will help to provide an improved environment for patients and staff; additional equipment that can make a real difference to patient care and additional opportunities for staff training and support.

Neonatal video messaging

Thanks to kind donations, parents of babies being cared for on the Neonatal Unit at Tunbridge Wells Hospital can see their baby via video when they’re unable to be with their child. The secure video messaging application vCreate, brings babies and parents together.

The technology, which allows clinical teams to send video updates to parents when they’re not able to be at the hospital, was made possible thanks to the Morrisons Foundation. The Foundation, part of the national supermarket chain, donated £9,600 which will fund the service for two years. 

Bladder scanners 

Thanks to your kind donations, the Trust has been able to purchase a number of bladder scanners which are non-invasive ultrasound medical devices for the assessment and diagnosis of bladder disorders in people of all ages.

These vital machines measure bladder volume without the need for urinary catheters, ensuring a pain-free, worry-free assessment for the patient, respecting their dignity and privacy, improving their patient experience and speeding up assessment times.
